Bill Strait

As EY Americas Vice Chair – Finance & Operations, Bill Strait leads finance and operations for the EY organization in the Americas. He is responsible for executing the organization's strategic financial plan, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, and enabling the business to deliver on growth and performance objectives. In this role, he helps drive the execution of EY's strategy across the organization, working closely with business and service line leaders to strengthen performance, operational effectiveness and long-term value creation.

Bill brings forward-looking financial strategy, business insight and extensive experience serving large, complex organizations. He is focused on strengthening operational performance, advancing EY's business and go-to-market strategy, maintaining quality, investing in emerging technologies and fostering a strong organizational culture. In addition to his finance and operations responsibilities, Bill plays a key role in driving enterprise-wide priorities, internal transformation and business performance across the firm.

During his career at EY, Bill has held several senior leadership roles, including Americas Deputy Vice Chair of Assurance and Houston Office Managing Partner, as well as leadership positions supporting the firm's governance structure, including service on the Global Governance Council and as leader of
the Partner Principal Council. He has also served as a global client service partner for some of EY's largest multinational clients and continues to serve as a senior advisor to several of the firm's most significant client relationships.

A passionate advocate for people and professional development, Bill is committed to creating opportunities for learning, growth and advancement. Bill is dedicated to mentoring others, building inclusive teams and empowering people to take initiative and lead with confidence. Bill is also a strong supporter of accessibility in the workplace and serves as executive sponsor of EY's Abilities Business Resource Group and co-chair of the Disability:IN executive forum. Bill holds a BBA in Accounting from Baylor University and remains actively engaged in supporting educational initiatives focused on expanding educational access and creating opportunities for future generations of students. He lives in Houston with his wife and has three adult sons. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, running, golf and reading.
