CMO & CCO Coalition
The CMO & CCO Coalition brings together senior marketing, communications and brand leaders to advance disability inclusion and accessibility across their organizations and the broader profession. The Coalition serves as a strategic forum for leaders shaping brand, reputation, customer engagement, employee communications, and corporate storytelling. Discussion topics include:
- Authentic representation of people with disabilities in advertising and media
- Accessible content, events, and digital experiences
- Emerging research on the preferences and behaviors of the disability consumer segment
- Real-world examples of disability inclusive campaigns and creative
- Approaches to emerging technologies as it relates to disability inclusion and marketing and communications strategy
- The role of agency partners in driving accessibility and disability inclusion in M&C work
Through collaborative learning and executive-level dialogue, members help shape how disability inclusion is reflected in the brands, messages, and experiences that influence customers and employees around the world.
Members include: Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs), Chief Communications Officers (CCOs), Chief Brand Officers, Chief Experience Officers, Chief Commercial Officers, Heads of Marketing, Heads of Corporate Communications, Brand, Corporate Affairs, Senior marketing and communications executives responsible for customer engagement and audience strategy.
Participation model: To join the Coalition, companies must assign two roles:
- Coalition members: those holding the title of CMO or CCO (or the equivalent) within their company.
- Delegates: leaders in a marketing or comms function who will work alongside their CMO or CCO to support Coalition actions.



About the Coalition
Disability:IN’s Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Chief Communications Officer (CCO) Coalition endeavors to accelerate disability inclusion and accessibility across the marketing and communications professions at large.
Members of the coalition are committed to focusing on measurable and tangible actions related to shared objectives across the marketing and communications profession and their respective organizations:
1. Representation
Facilitating the accurate and authentic representation of people with disabilities throughout marketing and communications to better reflect the full global community.
2. Education
Fostering awareness and continued learning on accessibility and inclusion best practices in marketing and communications.
3. Thought Leadership
Act as thought leaders in this space to elevate the conversation on disability inclusion into the mainstream.
4. Accessibility
Developing strategies for advancing accessible content in marketing and communications.
5. Community
Amplifying and expanding coalition membership as well as creating an open community of progress to share and learn about best and evolving practices.
Coalition members and their teams will regularly convene to advance the shared objectives, exchange knowledge, and analyze initiatives and trends focused on disability inclusion in marketing and communications.
